Each frame is crafted using 3D software to precisely align with the unique contours of your eyes, nose, and eyebrows. Lenses are precision-ground to fit the custom frame, and the skirt is over-molded in a unique three-part mold, perfectly conforming to your forehead, temples, cheeks, nose, and lips. This bespoke design minimizes volume and maximizes field of view, delivering an exceptional underwater experience
Under-water optimized lenses:
All Nix dive masks (non-prescription and prescription) come with underwater-optimized lenses, giving you much greater peripheral vision and situational awareness. However, you will be shortsighted wearing the mask in air. A trade-off well worth it, we think. If you don't want this, select flat lenses.
Superior Comfort with Ultra-Soft Silicone:
Molded from from Shore 30A platinum silicone, the double seal adapts perfectly to your facial contours, ensuring uniform pressure distribution. No over-compression of the mask or your skin is needed to achieve a secure fit, providing unmatched comfort and a pressure-free seal, even during long dives. The seal forms so effectively at low pressure that a strap is only needed to retain the mask, not compress it against the face.
Textured surface:
Inner surface contains channels between hexagonal pillows to allow for efficient gas flow during equalization. Outer surface has corrugations to prevent flow separation and to add structural stiffness to the perimeter of the skirt.

Special coatings:
Sapphire lenses have a 2 μm of Aluminum oxide evaporated by electron beam over chemically tempered glass. Red Sapphire includes a 575 nm long pass filter at 0.5 optical density, engineered to normalize light at 30 meters. Green Sapphire is a bandpass filter at an optical density of 0.95 matched to the emission of green fluorescent protein. Pair with a light with the matching excitation band pass filter for optically perfect fluorescence diving.
Certification:
Our masks are not yet certified by EN 16805, but are built to the standard.
Production timeline:
Because each mask is custom, it needs to be produced from scratch, and the production timeline is 6-8 weeks from when we receive your data, but this is subject to supply chain interruption.
